Inspire Series

September 10, 2018 (Monday)

6:30-8:00 pm

Topic: Sports Analytics

You are a parent. Do you remember when you studied math and sciences when you were younger and wonder to yourself “Why am I learning this? What good is this?” Or may be you still do!

The Inspire Series are a series of interactive lectures by renowned experts in STEM fields designed for gifted youth between 4th grade and 10th grade and is focused on motivating and encouraging applications of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology solving real-life problems. These are survey classes that go over topics that are very complicated at the very high level. Examples are construction of an MRI machine and what it it’s used for, using stochastic analysis for sports analytics, how simple machine-learning engines work, understanding foundations of artificial intelligence, and others.

Attendance to Inspire Series is free, but requires an advanced RSVP. To RSVP, please respond to the email invitation that was sent to you.

Lyceum Village reserves the right to accept or deny admission to attend the series.
